Democrat slams ‘vodka cran’ at popular Washington DC bar after damning admission about Biden’s re-election chances
A Democratic senator facing a tough re-election battle this election was spotted alone in a bar with a bright red cocktail in the distance as his party reels from Joe Biden.
Montana Sen. Jon Tester downed a “vodka cran” by himself Tuesday night at the French restaurant Bistro Cacao, just a few blocks from the Senate office buildings, sources told the Daily caller.
The photo is said to have been taken hours after he privately told his Senate colleagues that he did not believe the 81-year-old Biden could defeat Donald Trump in November.
He said in a public statement that Biden “must prove to the American people — including me — that he is up to the task for another four years.”
That’s particularly troubling for Tester, 67, who first took office in 2007 and trails in most polls behind Montana Navy SEALs and now Aerospace Director Tim Sheehy, who will be 37 on Election Day in November.

Currently RealClearPolitics (RCP) has shown former SEAL Sheehy with an average lead of 1.5 points over the incumbent Tester in the polls.
Since Joe Biden’s terrible performance in the debate against Donald Trump almost two weeks ago, Democrats have been busy trying to figure out their message and whether to stick with the older Joe or dump him for someone younger.
And in Montana, that’s a problem for Tester.
The state is split by a huge majority in favor of former President Donald Trump.
According to the RCP average, Trump has a 20-point lead in the state.
A post-debate poll, albeit a Republican one, showed Trump leading at 56 percent, while Biden won at 36 percent.
A recent poll by DailyMail.com also found that voters are dissatisfied with older candidates.

So the Montana Republican still has to send a good message about whether Biden should retain the party’s top position.
On Monday, Tester said Biden must prove “he can do the job for another four years.”
During a closed meeting of Democratic senators on Tuesday, he admitted he doesn’t believe Biden can beat Trump.
Senators Michael Bennet of Colorado and Sherrod Brown of Ohio also said at the meeting that they don’t think Biden can win.
“People are making it a bigger deal than it is,” Tester said of Biden’s age in 2023.
“But you know, we’ll see what I’m like when I’m 82. I doubt I’ll run for president.”
Maybe by that age he’ll be back at the bar, enjoying a vodka-cranberry.
Or maybe he enjoys a red beer or a Diet Pepsi, his favorite drinks according to an interview from ten years ago.
Either way, he and the Democrats haven’t solved their Biden dilemma yet.
