Democrat rips ‘unhinged’ colleague Jamaal Bowman for ‘unseemly’ foul-mouthed Bronx rally with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez filled with F-bombs

A New York Democrat ridiculed his progressive “Squad” colleague for an “unhinged” and expletive-filled campaign rally, saying the angry tirade was completely inappropriate.

“Squad” member Jamaal Bowman, DY, was filmed shouting and cursing at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Political Action Committee (AIPAC), which is backing his main challenger George Latimer.

“We’re gonna show damn AIPAC, the power of the motherly South Bronx!” Bowman shouted Saturday during a meeting with fellow progressive “Squad” member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Democratic Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.

‘People ask me why I have a dirty mouth. What should I do? You’re coming after me! You’re coming after my family! You’re coming after my kids,” Bowman announced. “I’m not supposed to fight back?”

‘We’re going to show them who we are!’ Bowman added as he jumped and waved his arms on stage.

“There is nothing in Jamaal Bowman’s unhinged tirade that even remotely resembles the decency of the people I know and represent in the South Bronx,” Torres continued.

Torres, who left the House Progressive Caucus earlier this year over differences in Israeli policy, previously said he might refrain from commenting on Bowman’s primary race.

He told Axios that he has a “general rule not to oppose a Congressional Democrat who has not opposed me.”

“But Bowman’s unnecessary attack on my character might make me reconsider that rule,” he said earlier this month.

His post calling Bowman’s behavior “unhinged” and “shocking” is likely a counter to the “Squad” member saying Torres’ position is “calculated” and likely done in an effort to gain more political power to acquire, instead of actually caring about the war.

“I think Torres is trying to gain political power for himself with an ultimate goal in mind. I don’t know if it’s the United States Senate. I do not know what it is. But it’s something,” Bowman said.

Rep. Ritchie Torres, D-NY, a supporter of Israel, will attend the Jerusalem Post conference in New York in early June. He and Bowman have argued over their opposing views on the war between Israel and Hamas

In addition to the feud with Torres, the progressive party has been very vocal about its distaste for Israel during their war with Hamas.

He has often called for an immediate ceasefire in the war, alleged that Israel is guilty of genocide and war crimes and has demanded that Joe Biden’s White House stop sending all funds to the Jewish nation , and not just those before the war.

His vocal opposition to Israel has earned him the scorn of AIPAC, which supports both Democrats and Republicans who support Israel.

The group has poured nearly $15 million into Bowman’s race against Westchester County Executive Latimer.

So much money has poured in that the Democratic primaries are now considered the most expensive in history.

“Organized people will always beat organized money,” Bowman wrote on X Monday.

“We are fighting back against AIPAC and their Republican billionaires trying to buy NY-16. We are showing them that our communities across the country are not for sale!”

However, an AIPAC spokesperson told DailyMail.com: “Rep. Bowman’s vile and shameful attacks will not hide his record of aligning with the extremist, anti-Israel fringe.”

“Unlike his opponent, George Latimer is a pro-Israel progressive who supports the Jewish state in its fight against Iranian terrorists.”

Westchester County Executive George Latimer campaigns at a train station in White Plains, New York, on Thursday, June 13. Latimer is running in the Democratic primary against incumbent Jamaal Bowman to represent New York’s 16th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Shortly after the conflict broke out on October 7, 2023, Bowman called Israel’s claims that Hamas was slaughtering babies and raping women “propaganda.”

“Propaganda was used at the beginning of the siege,” he is heard loudly claiming as cars passed loudly behind him on a busy road. The video was reportedly recorded more than a month after the initial attack on November 17.

“There is still no evidence of decapitated babies or raped women,” he continues, receiving confirmation from the crowd. “But they still use that lie…propaganda.”

Bowman had condemned the October 7 attacks on Israel before his “propaganda” comments and has done so repeatedly since.
