The actresses were spotted alongside their director Coralie Fargeat at the Everyman Cinema in Chelsea for the screening and ‘in conversation’ event.

Demi looked stunning in a pair of blue leather flared shoes and a matching sweater as she stepped into the venue.

She wore a complete look from Victoria Beckham’s AW24 collection, complete with the brand’s new bag, The Dorian.

Margaret, meanwhile, kept it chic and simple in a sheer black knitted dress.

Demi, 61, plays older fitness instructor Elisabeth Sparkle who uses an experimental substance to transform her into a younger, better version of herself.

Margaret, 29, plays Sue, the young woman Elisabeth transforms into.

The film received rave reviews and a standing ovation of no less than 13 minutes at its premiere in Cannes in May.

It also made news when screen icon Demi appeared in a full-frontal nude scene with Margaret.

She previously told Variety that the scenes were easier to perform with her co-star by her side.

Demi is nude in a scene where Margaret’s character is “born.” In this scene, the older actress examines her body before Margaret emerges and looks at her own body head-on.

Demi explained, “I had someone who was a great partner, who I felt very safe with. We were obviously very close — naked — and we also got a lot of levity in those moments about how absurd those certain situations were.”

‘But ultimately it’s all about really getting communication and mutual trust right.’

Demi’s performance has been described as “fearless,” while her co-star Dennis Quaid described her Cannes comeback as an “incredible third act” during a press conference after the film screened at the festival.

The Substance will be released on September 20th.
