Three years before her engagement to Holy Fvck backup singer and soulmate Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, Demi Lovato was engaged to four-time Daytime Emmy nominee Max Ehrich.

Wilmer tried to help Lovato with her addictions and supported her when she filmed the 2012 MTV documentary Demi Lovato: Stay Strong.

“After nearly six loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship. This has been an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have come to realize more than ever that we are better as friends,” the couple said in a statement in June 2016.
