Demi Lovato’s sister Madison De La Garza grieves loss of daughter after undergoing ’emergency C-section’
Demi Lovato’s younger half-sister, Madison De La Garza, heartbreakingly revealed she lost her daughter after undergoing an “emergency C-section” at the end of September.
Earlier last month it was revealed that Madi, 22 – who is known for her role as Eva Longoria’s daughter in Desperate Housewives – was expecting her first child with boyfriend Ryan Mitchell.
However, the actress gave a tragic update on Instagram on Saturday, writing: “On the evening of September 27th, after an emergency c-section, Ryan and I held the little girl for the first and last time.”
“Thank you, Xiomara, for making us parents the most perfect angel in heaven. Mommy and Daddy love you, sweet girl.”
Demi, 32, responded to her sibling’s emotional post in the comments section, writing, “I love you so much Xiomara. An angel in every sense of the word. I will be your aunt forever.”

And on her Instagram Stories, Lovato reposted her sister’s message, adding the caption: “RIP to my beautiful, perfect niece Xiomara.”
“I’m so grateful I got to hold you…I will always be your aunt. I love you so much @maddelagarza.”
Social media users shared condolences in the comments section of Madi’s post, including Demi’s other sister, Dallas Leigh Lovato.
“Baby girl Xiomara, I miss you every day. I will take good care of your mother so that you can fly away. Watch over us and guide us and give us little signals.”
She continued, “We’ll come see you one day, but it might take a while. Not a day will pass without you in our hearts.’
“I wish we had more time together before you had to leave.” So have fun in your new world, the one we can’t see. Because every breath I take, I take one at a time.’
Demi’s fiancé, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, also added, “I love you so much, rest in peace baby angel Xiomara.”
One fan shared: ‘Oh Maddie, I’m so sorry. Praying for you and your sweet baby angel. May she rest in peace,” while another wrote: “Oh maddie. I’m so sorry. Sending you love and prayers.”

Last month in September, Madison announced that she and her boyfriend were expecting their first child together.
At the time, she uploaded photos from Instagram that appeared to be taken at a baby shower.
In the caption, the actress wrote, “Oh Ryan, how I love you. thank you for making all my dreams come true. baby mitchell 10.24,” seemingly referring to the due date.
