Demi Lovato understands the brief for a couple’s Halloween look.

The singer wore a wedding dress with heavy makeup to look like a zombie bride. And her boyfriend, fellow musician Jutes — whose real name is Jordan Lutes — was the late groom.

Their costumes are inspired by Tim Burton’s 2005 animated film Corpse Bride, starring Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Emily Watson.

Lovato, 30, posed with her boyfriend in a carousel of Instagram photos posted to her account.

She simply captioned the photos with three emojis: groom, bride, and drop of blood.

For their Halloween party, Lovato wore an off-shoulder white dress with a bloodied corset and adorned with a veil.

Her groom wore a tattered tuxedo and bowler hat.

The two accentuated their looks with white piercing contact lenses and smoky black eyeshadow. They also intensified their costume with costume makeup from cuts to their faces and a love bite on Lovato’s cleavage.

In a video also shared in a series of Instagram stories, Lovato asks “What are you doing, honey?” Jute is heard to reply, “I’m distressing this coat for the wedding later.”

During Lovato’s Holy F**k tour, the couple took a well-deserved break in New Orleans, Louisiana, prior to her show tonight to dress up and celebrate Halloween festivities with her band.

She continues her seventh concert tour which started in August and will end in November.

On October 5, Lovato had to postpone her show in Rosemont, Illinois after losing her voice when she woke up that morning.

Before that in September, she announced to fans in later-deleted Instagram stories that this tour will be her last due to health concerns. This followed her tour dates in South America.

Lovato released their eighth studio album Holy F**k in August 2022. The songwriter candidly delves into her addiction recovery in the pop/punk album to which Jutes also contributed. He is credited as a co-writer on several tracks – Substance, City of Angels and Happy Ending.

In recent years, Lovato has shared candidly about recovering from substance abuse to cope with an eating disorder and bipolar disorder.

In 2018, she released the power ballad Sober to confess her relapse. Shortly after, she was hospitalized and admitted to rehab after a near-fatal overdose.

In the cathartic album, she also touched on the age difference with ex Wilmer Valderrama with whom she went on and off from 2010 to 2016. The number 29 seems to evoke the toxicity of that relationship.

In 2020, she had a whirlwind romance and a brief engagement to actor Max Ehrich after quarantining together during the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. That relationship was short-lived, lasting less than six months.

Fortunately, she has found happy, healthy love with her supportive, now partner Jutes – who is trying to embark on his own sobriety journey.

The couple made their relationship public in New York City in early August this year. Later that month, the couple celebrated Lovato’s 30th birthday at a romantic oceanfront dinner in Santa Monica, California.
