Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift were actually best friends at the MTV Music Video Awards last Tuesday.
The 33-year-old Eras Tour headliner showed no sign of a rift – despite rumors of a years-long feud – and was spotted jamming with the 31-year-old Camp Rock star as they performed Cool for the Summer (Rock Version ) performed. live at the awards ceremony.

Referencing her viral rumored Taylor tweet, Demi admitted, “I got too passionate.”
The Heart Attack singer made no apologies for what she tweeted, adding, “I get carried away on Twitter, and that’s what I said, and that’s that.”
Despite her refusal to admit to any wrongdoing, Demi explained why she felt so frustrated: ‘There is nothing positive about pitting women against each other. There are women I don’t get along with, and that’s okay.’
She added, “My thing is, don’t call yourself a feminist if you’re not doing the work.”
After the Teardrops on My Guitar crooner entered a legal battle with Scooter Braun over the rights to her music, Demi defended the talent manager in 2019, calling him a “good man” on her Instagram stories.

In 2019, Demi showed some love for Taylor’s seventh album, Lover.
The outspoken La La Land singer shared a note on her Instagram Stories: “Life is too short for women not to support other women.”
She added: “Especially when women release great music. Great job Taylor Swift.”
