Deli Alli’s miserable loan in Turkey ‘is to be cut SHORT as he prepares to return to Everton’

Deli Alli’s miserable loan to Turkey ‘must be cut short as he prepares to return to Everton this weekend for medical assessment’ following a mysterious injury suffered at Besiktas (whom he hasn’t played for since February!)

  • Dele Alli reportedly returns to Everton this weekend for a medical assessment
  • The former England midfielder has had a lousy spell on loan at Besiktas
  • The Turkish club wanted to end his loan and he has not played since February

According to reports, Dele Alli will return to Everton this weekend after an injury in Turkey.

The 26-year-old was loaned out by the Toffees to Besiktas to try and regain his old form.

However, the former England midfielder scored just twice in 13 appearances for the club and has not played for Besiktas since February 26.

After being sidelined by the team, which sought to terminate Alli’s loan deal in January, it now appears that the midfielder’s time in Turkey is officially over.

Sky Sports reports that Alli will return to Everton this weekend, to watch an injury he sustained in Turkey.

The former England midfielder would not be eligible to play for Sean Dyche this season

Alli will be assessed by the Toffees’ medical staff, but it is unknown what the injury is, or how long he will be in the UK.

However, the midfielder is ineligible for Sean Dyche’s squad this season as Everton battle to avoid the drop.

Alli made 37 appearances for England but struggled with his form as he moved from Spurs to Everton in January 2022, before being loaned out by Besiktas last summer.

Things didn’t go well in Turkey either, however, where Alli failed to make a positive impression for the Süper Lig side. Besiktas manager Senol Gunes claimed Alli didn’t deserve to play because he didn’t commit himself.

Last month Karl Robinson, Alli’s former manager at MK Dons, admitted the midfielder could be a handful but said he was simply misunderstood and could return to the top tier of football.
