Dele Alli has taken time out of pre-season training to meet Everton supporters who have traveled to Switzerland for the team’s first friendly of the new season.
Everton flew across Europe for their first pre-season warm-up match against Stade Nyonnais, with Alli involved in training but not taking part in the match as he is recovering from injury.
Alli gave an incredibly honest interview with Gary Neville published Thursday, explaining his battle with sleeping pill addiction and harrowing child abuse.
He received strong support from fellow athletes, royalty and well-wishers and received a personal boost from Everton fans on Friday.
The midfielder was all smiles in training as new signing Ashley Young settled into his new surroundings and took time to pose with fans after the session.

Another separate interaction captures him with a young fan holding up a homemade sign that reads, “We are all with you Dele,” next to two hand-drawn hearts.
It is the second consecutive day the former Spurs star has shown his appreciation to Toffees fans after also posing for photos at Lake Geneva on Thursday.
After years of adversity, Alli appears to be enjoying his football again with Sean Dyche’s side and could play a huge role in next season’s Premier League campaign.
He has made just 13 appearances for Everton since moving to the club on a free transfer early last year, but following the revelation, he considered retiring early after just 24 looks, determined to rediscover his previous best form.

Alli enjoyed a meteoric rise early in his career, becoming a first-team regular for Tottenham Hotspur and being honored with the PFA’s Young Player of the Year award for his performances in the 2015–16 season.
He was later called up to England’s 2018 World Cup squad where the Three Lions reached the semi-finals before crashing out under Gareth Southgate and Alli’s career began to go downhill.
Alli has yet to play under Everton boss Sean Dyche, but he could get his first chance to impress when they face Wigan in a friendly on July 22.
He still has a year left on his contract at the club and with age still on his side he could recover to become a vital asset for the Toffees.
