Buffaloes star Shilo Sanders scored a sixth in Saturday night’s fiery encounter with Colorado State before hugging his father and coach Deion on the sideline to celebrate.

Tensions between the two Colorado rivals were at an all-time high ahead of their latest fight following the very public feud between Deion and coaching counterpart Jay Norvell this week.

Norvell’s swipe at ‘Coach Prime’ for his signature cap-and-shades attire caused quite a stir, with Sanders responding by handing out sunglasses to his entire team and the panel of ESPN’s First Take – marketing that promoted his custom Blenders line raised $1.2 million. sale on Friday.

Before Saturday’s match, both teams had to be separated during warm-ups, with Shedeur Sanders – another of Deion’s sons – caught in the middle as tempers flared between the players.

As for Shilo, he put his own stamp on proceedings by scoring on a pick six early in the first quarter.

Deion shared a hug with his son after his incredible pick six, before Shilo was placed on Colorado’s traditional Turnover Throne.

The gesture, introduced by Deion as a way to celebrate successful turnovers, has taken Boulder by storm lately and has reappeared on the occasion of Shilo’s crucial pick six.

It’s been quite a week for the Sanders family after Deion’s highly publicized feud with Norvell.

During his weekly radio show on Wednesday evening, Norvell took an apparent shot at the Buffaloes’ coach.

“I spoke to ESPN today. I don’t care if they hear it in Boulder. I told them I took off my hat and took off my glasses,” he said on the “Coach’s Show.”

‘I said that when I talk to adults, I take off my hat and my glasses. My mother taught me that.’

Coach Sanders, who also appeared on “First Take,” continued to play up the battle between him and Norvell by handing out sunglasses to Shannon Sharpe, Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim.

The crowd in Boulder erupted as Sanders, who was wearing sunglasses, by the way, handed out his frames to the on-air crew. Many students – as expected on Saturday evening – also wore sunglasses in support of Sanders.

Shilo also responded to Norvell’s comments on the “Pat McAfee Show.”

“Bruh, why do they do this to themselves every week?” he asked.
