His father-in-law Gary Brenckle told DailyMail.com he was positive about returning to the venue for the meeting.

“I feel good, I feel like they have enough police around,” he said, adding with a chuckle, “Hopefully they went through all the buildings and stuff and looked at the top and went in too .’

The business was decorated with pumpkins, skeletons and Halloween-themed items.

Michael and his son Parker of Datrona Heights, Pennsylvania

When Parker first heard that Trump would be back there, he made it very clear that he wanted to go back.

“He kept harassing me until I got online and registered,” Michael said. ‘No hesitation.’

“I took him to meet a president and be part of history.” “I didn’t think we would be that part of history,” he said.

As a former Army soldier, he recalled hearing gunshots during the July rally.

‘After the first two explosions I knew what they were, I grabbed my son and shouted: ‘Take the f down, that’s the military instinct in me.’

Michael said he was disappointed after that experience as people who hate Trump expressed regret that the shooter had missed.

“People wanted this to happen. I don’t understand why they feel this way.”

He admitted that if they hadn’t stopped for chili cheese fries that day in July, they probably would have been in the stands where people had been hit by the bullets.

So just like last time, they arrived for the meeting and lined up for some food. When asked what he was going to order, he grinned and said, “Chili cheese fries.”
