Declan Donnelly enjoys a break from I’m a Celebrity filming with his bikini-clad wife Ali Astall and their son Jack as they head to the shops

Declan Donnelly enjoyed a well-deserved break after filming I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! for a day of shopping with his wife Ali Astall on Friday.

The presenter, 48, cut a nonchalant figure as he headed out with Ali and their son Jack, 17 months, after finishing work on the ITV show.

Ali opted for a stylish blue strapless bikini and cut-off jeans as she pushed a stroller with little Jack nestled inside.

The couple, who married in 2015, were enjoying a break from filming before Dec reunites with co-host Ant McPartlin for the next show, which airs on Friday evening.

It comes after Ant left Dec in hysterics when he made a hilarious blunder as Nick Pickard tackled the In Too Deep lawsuit on Wednesday's show.

The Hollyoaks star took on the challenge with Nigel Farage, with the duo tasked with collecting stars at the bottom of water tanks.

During the trial, Nick asked when he could get his next star, and Ant said: 'We'll let you know when you can go, Tony. [Nigel] has not [his star] yet.'

The blunder led to an awkward silence, with Ant's co-host Declan Donnelly muttering “Tony” and laughing.

Ant quickly realized his mistake and started cackling with laughter, before Nick corrected him.

Dec added: 'He's a big fan, a huge fan.'

This year's I'm A Celebrity has proved to be the most dramatic yet, with two stars deciding to quit the show in three days for 'medical reasons'.

One source describes the situation on the popular program as a “shambles” as they fear more departures could take place in the coming days as the atmosphere in the jungle becomes even more tense.

It also comes after concerns over the welfare of contestants on other ITV shows, including Love Island, after the 2022 series was rocked by complaints of 'misogynistic behavior and bullying'.

It comes just two days after food critic Grace Dent decided to quit the show, while Nella Rose was briefly taken to the camp to be treated by medics on Tuesday, sparking fears she could also quit altogether.

ITV will now likely face questions about what has been different this year. Never before have two participants left within two days of each other – or has another participant been sent away for medical treatment so close to departure.

However, sources at the broadcaster emphasize that the same – if not stricter – psychiatric tests were carried out for the participants.

A spokesperson for the channel told MailOnline: 'We have implemented rigorous and robust processes to assess all our campmates before confirming they will take part in the show.

'We have a medical team and psychologist on site to ensure that health and wellbeing, and the duty of care to participants, is prioritized at all times.'
