Declan Donnelly and wife Ali Astall enjoy a rare night off parenting duties as they enjoy dinner at fancy Mayfair restaurant

Declan Donnelly and his wife Ali Astall headed out for a romantic date on Wednesday.

The couple, proud parents of Jack, 23 months, and daughter Isla, five, took time off from parental duties to head to Bacchanalia restaurant in Mayfair.

Dec, 48, appeared in good spirits and was dressed in a navy blue shirt, while Ali, 45, looked stunning in a pink floral dress.

The mother of two complemented the look with a nude Chanel handbag and strappy shoes.

Located in the heart of Mayfair, the restaurant serves Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.

The night out comes after Ali enjoyed a girls’ night out at Wembley last weekend watching Taylor Swift.

Ant McPartlin and Dec decided to turn down the TRIC Awards on Monday after losing to fellow presenter Bradley Walsh for the second year in a row for TV Personality Of The Year.

The TV presenting duo were nowhere to be seen – despite being nominated in three different categories at the awards: TV Personality, Entertainment and Gameshow.

This is the second year that the British TV stars have lost to Bradley, 64, for the TV Personality Award and have also failed to lift the other two gongs.

After missing out in all three categories last year, the pair missed the mark again at the ceremony, which was held at The Grosvenor House Hotel.

They had three contenders for the Entertainment Award as Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Britain’s Got Talent and Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win were nominated.

But after losing out on all five nominations in all three categories, Ant and Dec failed to show up this year.

Since 2004 – the year they won their first TRIC TV Personality Award – they have won 15 separate awards across the three categories and have been nominated for a total of 38 gongs.

Bradley also beat Piers Morgan and Martin Lewis in the category.

Despite winning the gong, Bradley also did not appear at this year’s ceremony.

Elsewhere at the star-studded event, Eamonn Holmes struggled onto the stage with the help of a walker as he collected an award today.

In his first public appearance since news of his shock split from Ruth Langsford, the 64-year-old TV presenter admitted he was on ‘borrowed time’ as he confessed: ‘I’m not okay. This is not a good time at all.’
