Deborra-Lee Furness has opened up about what the future holds for her following her shock split from long-time husband Hugh Jackman in September.
The Jindabyne star, 68, shared The Daily Telegraph Wednesday that it’s “a little scary” right now as she adjusts to her new life.
“Change, transition, evolution is a little scary and we’re all a little afraid of it, but I think it’s probably our greatest gift,” she began.
Furness added that starring alongside Eric Bana, 55, in his new film Force of Nature: The Dry 2, has helped her stay busy.
‘There were so many attractive factors for me, a great script by Jane Harper and directed by Robert Connolly. “I love Eric and coming home to Australia to shoot in the wilderness,” she told the publication.

It comes after the Correlli actress ended her marriage to her husband, Hugh Jackman.
The Australian actor, 55, and his wife announced their shock split in September after 27 years of marriage, telling fans they were separating “to pursue our individual growth.”
“We are blessed to have had a beautiful, loving marriage together for nearly three decades,” the couple said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.
“Our journey is now changing and we have decided to part ways to pursue our individual growth.
‘Our family is and will remain our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family goes through this transition.”
The former couple signed the statement as “Deb and Hugh Jackman,” adding, “This is the only statement either of us will make.”
The couple married in 1996 after crossing paths on the set of Correlli in 1995.
Over the course of their marriage, they adopted two children: son Oscar, 23, and daughter Ava, 18.
