Deborah Knight addresses rumours she’ll be replacing Tracy Grimshaw on A Current Affair

Deborah Knight has responded to rumors that she will replace Tracy Grimshaw as host of A Current Affair.

The veteran 2GB and Nine News host, 49, shared: New idea she would love to host the news show, but also enjoys her role on 2GB radio.

“I love my time at ACA and I love my radio performance,” Deborah explained.

“Whatever happens, it’s a win-win because I get to wake up every day and do what I love,” she added.

It comes after viewers called on the Nine News host to take over the top job, describing her as “professional,” “refreshing” and “natural.”

“Deb Knight is so breathtaking and professional. Every time she comes up it’s so refreshing,” one fan wrote on Facebook.

It comes after viewers called on the Nine News host to take over the top job, describing her as “professional,” “refreshing” and “a natural.”

“Not only does she look good, but she also presents herself in a very professional way.”

It comes amid rumors that Allison Langdon is about to announce her switch from breakfast to prime time after she was absent from the Today show for the sixth day in a row on Thursday.

Industry sources say the 43-year-old is the firm favorite to replace Grimshaw in A Current Affair, but it’s unclear who will take her spot on Today.

Nine executives try out different co-anchors with Karl Stefanovic, including former US correspondent Amelia Adams and 60 Minutes reporter Sarah Abo.

She would like to move to A Current Affair because the hours are easier as a working mom.

While Nine has not made any announcement about ACA’s new host, it is believed that the network is only considering candidates from within its own ranks.
