He recently returned as host of ITV’s Deal Or No Deal reboot.
And four days into the show, Stephen Mulhern was left red-faced after making a very uncomfortable comment to a contestant on Thursday.
The TV host, 46, welcomed a Disney-obsessed nanny, Katie, and started asking questions about her life.
As the bubbly contender explained her passion for Disney, Stephen later quizzed the player about her grandmother and revealed to Katie that he actually had a photo of the pair together.
But when an image of Katie’s grandmother flashed on the screen, her face completely dropped because she was sitting with a dog, not Katie.
Embarrassed: Stephen Mulhern, 46, was left red-faced after making a very awkward comment to a contestant on Thursday’s episode of Deal Or No Deal
She said, ‘Oh, it’s not me, it’s the dog!’
Stephen quickly put his head in his hands in embarrassment, but Katie happily brushed the blunder away with much laughter.
Stephen joked: ‘Wow, you look amazing, Katie!’
After starting the game poorly, Katie must have been damned as she unfortunately walked away with £5 – one of the most disastrous results to date.
In January this year it emerged that Stephen was set to relaunch Deal Or No Deal, six years after it was axed from Channel 4.
The program airs on ITV1 and ITVX and sees contestants compete against the infamous banker for the chance to win a life-changing cash prize, in a nerve-wracking game of nerves and intuition.
Every week a participant is confronted with 22 sealed boxes, each containing a different amount of money.
Without knowing what each box contains, the player must remove the boxes, which are opened one by one to reveal the amount of money inside.

Thoughts: Stephen fronted the show for the first time on Monday, with many viewers taking to Twitter to express their thoughts on his work
The pressure mounts as the player is tempted by the infamous banker to accept an offer of cash in exchange for what might be inside the box.
As long as the larger cash prizes are not chosen, the banker’s offers will become higher. But that could all change in an instant when a big cash prize is revealed.
Deal Or No Deal was previously fronted by Noel Edmonds, from its first episode in 2005 until it ended in August 2016 after 13 series.

One unimpressed show fan wrote: ‘I guess you couldn’t find anyone more offensive than Noel Edmonds to host the new series of #DealOrNoDeal but then you see it’s now Stephen Mulhern.’
However, one delighted viewer wrote: ‘The perfect show for Stephen Mulhern. I forgot how much I loved it.”
“Stephen Mulhern is so much better than Noel Edmonds on #DealOrNoDeal,” someone else shared.
Another person wrote: ‘So cool! I also love Stephen Mulhern, he’s been in love with me for a long time x.”

Host with the most: Stephen told how former presenter Noel Edmonds, 74 (pictured), wished him well in the new role and gave him some advice on hosting the game show
Speaking about his new job on the show when it was officially confirmed in March this year, Stephen said: ‘Wow what an opportunity, I’m beyond excited to host the brand new series.
‘I’ve always been such a big fan of the show, so much so that I’ve been practicing at home with little boxes of cereal!
“It looks so simple, but it’s an incredibly compelling game for both the players and the viewers watching at home.
“It’s one of the greatest shows of all time and to be the new host is an honor! I can’t wait to get started.’
Presenter Stephen is best known as frontman of In For A Penny and Catchphrase, and is a key part of ITV’s Saturday Night Takeaway team.
Deal or No Deal, which aired for over a decade, initially proved a hit, but viewership declined in the last few series.
At its peak in 2006, the series attracted more than three million, but by the end of the series it was attracting around 300,000 viewers per episode.
From 2005, Noel presented almost 3,000 episodes of the show, in which contestants win prize money by choosing from 22 red boxes of different amounts.
He handed out £40 million in winnings, although only eight entrants got the £250,000 jackpot.
Before the ax in 2016, Noel said in a newspaper interview: ‘I don’t know if it will be re-recorded – when it’s over I’ll have had a sensational ten years.’
Deal Or No Deal airs every weekday at 4pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
