Deadpool & Wolverine will be released on Disney Plus in two weeks

Marvels Deadpool and Wolverinea collision of the Fox X-Men universe and the MCU proper, is the biggest hit of the year so far. Fourteen weeks after its premiere, the film is still playing in 300 theaters, grossing a few thousand dollars here and there, bringing its box office total to $636.5 million – and that’s just in the United States. But it’s on its last legs, and that means it’s time for Deadpool and Wolverine to get the primetime pre-Thanksgiving streaming release date that will make it the biggest thing in the world for the second time.

Disney announced on Wednesday that the film will come to Disney Plus on November 12. The streaming release will also feature Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy’s film commentary, which, as Polygon previewed earlier this fall, is ripe with behind-the-scenes insight and expectedly idiotic. Whatever you think of Deadpool and Wolverinethis is honestly a great turn of events – why aren’t more streaming releases bundled with director commentary?

Even though Marvel was hot on its heels at San Diego Comic-Con Deadpool and WolverineFollowing the success of its opening weekend and the announcement of plans for new Avengers films (complete with a return of Robert Downey Jr.), Deadpool’s future in the MCU remains unclear. There was no immediate announcement of one Deadpool 4 or even a suggestion that Reynolds would appear in one of the many crossover films planned through 2027. Murmurs suggest that Marvel’s upcoming X Men The reboot won’t leave the door open for Hugh Jackman’s return, but for now it’s all conjecture.

For now, fans of the duo’s antics will have to make do Deadpool and Wolverinewhich will be ready to break the fourth wall of your TV screen from November.
