Horror game Dead by daylight celebrates Stranger things day by the reintroduction of the Stranger things crossover back to the horror game.
Did you know there is one? Stranger things day? Me neither. However, it is cause for celebration, as the Dead by daylight X Stranger things crossover was a fan favorite and was removed from the game after the original licensing agreement expired.
Behavior Interactive didn’t go into details at the time, but today they’re announcing that the Stranger things partnership, which consists of survivors Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington, and the monstrous Demogorgon who appears as a murderer.
In a statement to TRG, Mathieu Côté, head of partnerships at Behavior Interactive, said: “We are pleased to renew this partnership with Netflix to bring back the Stranger Things Chapter, including the Hawkins National Laboratory’s Underground Complex Map, and the iconic Survivor duo consisting of Nancy Wheeler, a tough aspiring journalist, and Steve Harrington, a former high school student with a knack for finding trouble. We hope that players who have not experienced Stranger Things will take full advantage of this gaming experience today.”
All cosmetics involved in the collaboration are also coming back to stores, meaning if you’re one of the players keen to dress up Steve Harrington in his ridiculous Scoops Ahoy outfit from series three, you can do so right now .
They are in good company. Since Dead by daylightIn its 2016 release, the game added a ton of licensed content, with appearances from horror icons like Ghostface, Leatherface, and even killers that don’t have a face in the name, like the Xenomorph. Popular survivors also show up: Bruce Campbell, Ellen Ripley and even actor Nicolas Cage also join the game.
