The newest survivor is Gabriel Soma, a technician who is the only survivor of the rest of his crew. It seems that he would feel very sorry for him Empty space‘s Isaac Clarke, if the two ever met. Soma’s crew was killed by a creature called the Singularity, who doubles as the game’s new assassin. The Singularity is an amalgamation of restructured organic matter (presumably the aforementioned crew) and machine parts.
The new map in End Transmission is Toba Landing, the planet where Soma encountered the Singularity. This alien biome is full of strange flora and fauna, making it quite distinctive among the other maps, all of which take place on Earth.
End Transmission was announced during an anniversary stream from developer Behavior Interactive. In the coming year, Behavior will release four new chapters for Dead in daylight that includes the usual combination of a card, killer, and survivor. However, there will be two new Survivor-only chapters. Nicolas Cage – yes, as in the actor, not one of his characters – arrives after End Transmission, then two licensed killers from other horror IPs enter the arena, followed by another survivor. We can also expect an original chapter for the eighth anniversary.
End Transmission releases June 13 on PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox consoles.
