Bride and Prejudice star Dannii Erskine has officially returned to Instagram, following false reports that she had been killed in a horrific car accident.
The reality TV star posted on the social media platform on Thursday to let her concerned friends, family and followers know that she has “risen from the dead” and is alive and well.
“Well, well, well… Someone had a good old time posting on my social media and causing a lot of trouble over the past week and a half,” Erskine wrote alongside a photo of her dressed in a hospital gown.
“I have risen from the dead and am alive and well,” she continued.
Erskine further revealed that she was “incredibly sore” following ankle reconstruction on Monday, May 1 after being injured in a “real car accident” in September 2022.

“I’m currently still in the hospital trying to clean up this mess, but I can’t control what people say.
“In summary I want to say that the past two weeks have been very stressful, and I was told to shut down and focus on my foot, which is why I have not spoken out publicly before… I will say this via , I am very sorry for what has been posted.
“Not only is it disgusting, but it’s also very cruel,” she continued.
Later in the evening, Erskine bought a blue checkmark on Instagram.

It comes a day after Dannii dismissed false claims that she was “towed” by a drunk driver and that her “skull was crushed in an airbag collision.”
The reality star released a statement through a friend denying her death and stating that an unidentified hacker spread the wild story.
Dannii’s “death” was announced on May 2 by the So Dramatic podcast.
A person falsely claiming to be her ‘sister’ Dee said Dannii died in hospital following a horrific car accident in North Melbourne that left her brain dead.
‘If [Dannii] went through a green light, a driver was drunk and T-banged her. She was alive and taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital, “the person who falsely claimed to be her sister.” told the podcast via email.
“She passed away on the morning of the 29th [of April] at 12:01 am… She will be loved, sorely missed and it was a terrible tragedy. Please be safe on the roads. This can happen to anyone.’

That claim was subsequently disputed by Victoria Police and the coroner, who said no accidents or deaths of this nature had been reported at the time.
Police sources also confirmed to Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday that Dannii was ‘alive and well’ according to their internal systems.
Victoria Police said they could not comment on individuals due to privacy laws, but confirmed no fatal or life-threatening collisions had been recorded in the North Melbourne area over the past month.
The Coroner’s Court of Victoria also stated that they had no record of Dannii Erskine’s death, and atold an anonymous source 7NEWS.com.au that Dannii was still alive.
