A man’s body was found on the side of the road on Christmas morning.
An off-duty police officer found the body at about 5.20am on Wednesday at the side of Martyville Road, in Martyville, near Innisfail, in Far North Queensland.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said officers from Daily Mail Australia were investigating the incident.
“Police are at the scene of a deceased man found on Martyville Road,” the spokesperson said.

‘Forensic Crash Unit and Innisfail detectives have been informed and are investigating.
‘There is no further information at this time but the investigation into the cause of death is ongoing.’
