DC doggy daycare worker kicks family beloved pet puppy Bronny to DEATH ‘for being too energetic,’ with killer now facing potential criminal charges
A D.C. family is mourning the death of their beloved family dog, who was brutally kicked so hard that he died at a daycare center last week.
Bronny was on board at District Dogs in Navy Yard on Feb. 16 when he was “physically struck” by an employee early in the morning, as acknowledged in the company’s statement.
According to an incident report from the D.C. Police Department, the young dog became “too energetic” when the unknown employee began feeding the dog around 4 a.m.
After “attempting to calm the dog down,” the worker admits hitting Bronny with his foot, but cannot remember what part of the animal was hit.
The beloved pet lost consciousness and had to be taken to a nearby veterinary clinic, where he was later pronounced dead.

“The District Dogs family is heartbroken over the incident and extends its sincere condolences to the dog’s family, and we regret their loss at this extremely difficult time,” the statement said.
After Bronny’s sad death, heartbroken parents, Christina and Andrew, said Fox5 they ‘mourned’ their pet.
“Bronny brought immeasurable joy to our lives and to the lives of everyone he touched, and the void his absence leaves is deep.
“We don’t have all the answers yet, but we appreciate all the support we’ve received from the community.
“We continue to mourn the loss of our sweet boy,” the couple said.
They also said they had retained a lawyer for legal action, but did not elaborate.

The District Dogs employee has not yet been charged or arrested by officials.
The incident has led to further calls for the facility to be closed, especially after the deaths of ten dogs due to flooding at another District Dogs facility on Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast Washington in August 2023.
News of Broody’s death comes on the same day that a 40-year-old Virginia woman was charged with murder after leaving an 11-month-old child and a dog in a hot car, resulting in their deaths.
Kristen Danielle Graham, 40, has been charged with murder and is being held without bond at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
Graham was given responsibility for 11-month-old Myrical Wicker by her 17-year-old mother for two days.
She had been alone in the car for about eight and a half hours.
The child was found dead in a black plastic bag in the back of a car by emergency room staff at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News.

Officials say Graham received a call from her friend around 1 a.m. on September 12 asking her to bring cigarettes.
Her friend couldn’t buy them herself because she was caring for an elderly person in Newport News at the time.
Graham put the child and dog in the back of the car, went to a 7-Eleven to get the cigarettes and spent “considerable” time with her friend.
She then drove back to York County at 8 a.m., leaving the baby and dog in the car with the windows open. At around 2.30pm, Graham ‘woke up’ when she received a phone call and went outside to check on the dog and baby.
Both the baby and the dog were dead at the time.
Police officials have not released the 17-year-old mother’s name or information about the dog.
