Dazzling Caitlin Clark leads Fever to fourth straight win amid playoff chase as WNBA Hall of Famer compares her to Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods

Caitlin Clark shined in the Indiana Fever’s fourth straight win, as they defeated Dallas 100-93 against the Wings on Sunday.

In 37 minutes of play, Clark tallied 28 points, 12 assists and four assists for her second straight double-double. Meanwhile, Kelsey Mitchell led the way in scoring with 36 points to go along with six boards.

As Clark’s sensational debut season draws to a close, Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman praised the former Iowa star during the broadcast for her contributions to the game.

“When I walked in here before the game, there were hundreds of fans in line,” Lieberman said. “What Caitlin Clark did before the game is generational. As a baller to a baller, I just want to say thank you, Caitlin Clark.”

“Because you’ve elevated our game,” she continued. “You and so many great players. But what you’re doing is you’re going to make all these women multimillionaires one day. Like Tiger [Woods] did. Like Michael Jordan did.’

โ€œWe should not hate her, we should celebrate her and not tolerate her,โ€ Lieberman added.

While Clark’s debut season has been marked by rising attendance and television ratings since joining the WNBA, the Fever and the playoffs are heating up as the postseason approaches.

Indiana now sits at 17-16 and sixth in the league with six games remaining. Phoenix trails them at 16-17, while Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky are trying to hold on to the final playoff seed at 11-21.

Before the trip to Dallas, Clark and Reese faced off for the final time as rookies and both recorded a double-double, leading the Fever to a 100-81 win and a 3-1 regular season series victory.

While Reese barely managed to score with 10 points and 11 rebounds, Clark scored a game-high 31 points with her 12 shots, the perfect way to set the tone for another double-double in Dallas.

The win and her performance were announced when Clark went on a beautiful run to tie the score at six. Clark played a pass through 3/4 of the court to Kelsey Mitchell, who played a back bounce pass to NaLyssa Smith for a layup.

Clark would finish the game 10 of 19 from the field and 5 of 11 from three. While she had an impressive performance, Clark also had seven turnovers in the game.

Indiana has a five-game home slate with games against Los Angeles, Minnesota, Atlanta, Las Vegas twice and Dallas. They close out the regular season with an away game against Washington.

As a rookie, Clark leads the league in assists and trails Sabrina Ionescu in three-pointers made. The Rookie of the Year contender also broke the record for most assists by a rookie in late August.
