Dayna Isaac found dead in Penrith apartment after cops left as new boyfriend Paul Sultana in custody

Less than two hours before the body of a mother of two was found in her apartment, police officers knocked on the front door after neighbors reported hearing a firefight.

Police officers returned just 90 minutes later, with the body of 28-year-old Dayna Isaac discovered inside her Colless St unit in Penrith, western Sydney, at around 4:15pm on Monday.

Ms Isaac was found by police, who was accompanied by the mother of her new boyfriend Paul Sultan, 32, who is currently in police custody.

NSW Police confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that officers were first called to the house between 2:30pm and 3:00pm on Monday.

A neighbor had called the police to report a “disturbance” at Ms. Isaac’s home, but when officers showed up at the unit, no one answered the door and they left.

Officers found Ms Isaac’s burnt-out car in the bushes at 3:45pm, 13km from her home near Castlereagh, in the north-west of the town.

Half an hour later, Ms. Isaac’s body was discovered by Mr. Sultana’s mother, who had come to see her.

He then drove to Penrith Police Station and informed the officers of his terrible find.

Sultana was arrested around 3:25 a.m. Tuesday and remains in police custody.

“Police were informed that there was a disturbance on the premises and they attended and later identified the deceased as being on the premises,” NSW Police Acting Superintendent Carlene Mahoney said on Tuesday.

Charges have yet to be filed and investigators have established crime scenes in the unit block and Mr. Sultana’s home.

Daily Mail Australia understands that Ms Isaac was not fully clothed when she was found.

Superintendent Mahoney said the couple had been friends for a long time, but had only been dating for about two months.

Police do not believe a weapon was involved and say there was no history of domestic violence between Ms. Isaac and Mr. Sultana.

Ms. Isaac’s two girls, ages one and three, were not home at the time.

A friend of the mother-of-two said she was the “most beautiful, caring, selfless” person she had ever met.

“She lit up the room and was the life of the party,” the woman, who requested anonymity, told Daily Mail Australia.

“She was an amazing, loving mother to two beautiful girls who absolutely adored her, and I’m so proud to call her not just my friend, but my sister.”

Another friend wrote on Facebook: ‘RIP beautiful girl I will miss you’.

You were a wonderful person. Every time I saw you You would always have a smile on your face,’ said another friend.

The inhabitants of the area have been shaken by the news of the death of their neighbor.

A local resident said she saw police cars lined up on the street when she arrived at her home Monday afternoon.

“I just heard the news, I was shocked,” he said.

‘This area is pretty quiet, you don’t hear much going on around here. It tends to be more in Cranebrook.

Another woman who lives in the same building as Ms. Isaac said she woke up this morning to the property taped up and police officers searching the place.

“It was pretty scary, I was at work yesterday and I found out on Facebook that a woman had died on my street,” he said.

“When I got home late last night, there was only one police officer there, but when I left the building this morning, they were everywhere.”
