Appearing at the New Yorker Festival on Saturday, he recalled recording his first podcast episode with his wife, Bell, 44.
When asked about the “incredible chemistry” between them, he joked that it “wasn’t as good as her and Brody.”

He started off by saying that he watched the show with his friend.
“We watched that scene together, the kissing scene, which I think is the greatest kissing scene ever put to film.”
He recalled, “And my best friend, Aaron, since he was a kid, he says, ‘Does she ever kiss you like that?’
In response, Shepard said he replied, “No, I didn’t even know she could kiss like that.”
Nobody Wants This is a hit romantic comedy that follows Joanne, an agnostic sex podcaster played by Bell, and Noah, a newly single rabbi played by Brody.
The unlikely couple falls in love, but their relationship is strained by their different religious beliefs and meddling families.
Earlier this month, the hit series, which is loosely based on creator Erin Foster’s true love story with her husband, was renewed for a second season.
Previously, Bell opened up about her and her co-star’s steamy scenes and how supportive her husband was.
“Even I can acknowledge that I looked at it, like, ‘Wow, that’s hot,’” Bell said E! News.

She added: “My husband said the same thing. For example, when he watched the first episode, he thought, “Oh my God, I want you to kiss him so bad.”
Bell also acknowledged that while her and Brody’s scenes are sensual and passionate, their performances are calculated and logistical – emphasizing that it’s all acting.
“I’m not trying to be reductive, but I think there’s a math behind it,” she explained.
“You have two actors who know how to stare dopily into each other’s eyes, and you have to have the confidence to extend that and really put the anticipatory value to the kiss — which I think is really important.”
