And a BEAUTIFUL family. And be surrounded by love. (AND BEAUTIFUL CLOTHES) But tbh- that’s probably along the lines of what she was telling him then.’
‘Love you MW Proud of you forever for building the life and career you dreamed of, even though the sheer, overwhelming pain of being human made you wonder if you could do it sometimes.
‘But then you would dig deep and try again. It’s one of my favorite things about you. You have never EVER stopped trying.
‘A new way, a new recipe, a new parenting style, a new author, a new approach to work, a new love, a new role… but always the same loving, bright, gentle, sensitive, funny, wild, thoughtful, beautiful, beautiful, BEAUTIFUL you.’

He also noticed that Katie (Joey Potter) and Michelle didn’t seem close, nor did Joshua and James Van Der Beek (Dawson Leery),
“She didn’t seem to like drinking very much, and while she knew she had a cigarette every once in a while, she really wasn’t the type of girl to smoke and hang out.”
Busy remembers going to Katie’s house several times and looking at her arts and crafts, something she also liked, but “had a really hard time connecting with her.”

“She had been dating Chris Klein for a while, and he came to Wilmington and spent a lot of time there, so she was mostly with him.” she writes.
Busy explains that he knew as soon as he walked on the set of the teen drama that it was a different situation than on Freaks And Geeks, where “everyone was hanging out.”
“Maybe that was the way it had been when the show started, but in season five, when I came on, the main cast didn’t really spend a lot of time together and they obviously had a pretty intense dynamic.” Busy write.
Dawson’s Creek ran for six seasons from 1998 to 2003 and was a huge success for the WB.
But Busy was reminded of an unappreciative comment by James Van Der Beek that took her by surprise.
“One day, the entire cast was sitting around a table filming the Thanksgiving episode, and James looked at me and said, ‘See? You got lucky. Your show got canceled after the first season.'”
“I was so shocked by his complete lack of perspective that I was speechless. I mean. YOU ALL are the lucky ones, here in SEASON FIVE of your HIT TV SHOW. Her LIVES were changed.’
