Dawntrail aether current locations in FFXIV

Of Final Fantasy 14‘S Dawn Path expansion is coming more aether currents for players to find. These elusive collectibles are scattered throughout the map and you must find them all to unlock flies in their respective zones.

Since there are a total of 60 ether streams to find, it can be a difficult task. But we are happy to help you.

(Editorial noteWe have tried to take into account spoiler in our guide. Our maps are complete, so they have the names of the zones and locations of dungeons and trials. We’ve also separated the fifth and sixth areas with a large image, since the sixth zone wasn’t revealed in any form (unlike the other areas, which were shown in patch notes). Don’t scroll below that image unless you’re ready to see the final area.)

Aether Streams in FFXIV Explained

As usual, to unlock to fly in each new zone you have to find a new zone and interaction with 10 aether streams and complete five missionsThe four side missions required for aether streams are marked with the usual blue plus sign mission marker, and the fifth mission stream is a reward for completing one of the main scenario missions in the area (usually towards the end of your stay in that area).

Normally you can use your Aether Compass in your main items to see how many yalms the nearest current is. If you don’t feel like doing that, you can just use our maps for an easy hunt. Your Aether Compass can still be found in your “collections” menu, under the “duty” tab, if you want to find currents the way Yoshi-P intended.

We mention the Dawn Path zones in the order you encounter them. However, because there are multiple paths, some of them, such as Kozama’uka and Urqopacha, are interchangeable.

Below we list our aether flows in the order they appear from left to right in the aether-current menuso that if you miss one, you’ll know which one you need without having to use your Aether Compass. That said, we don’t recommend grabbing them in the order they’re numbered, but rather just grabbing what’s closest to you as you travel through these new maps.

Kozama’uka aether current locations

Note that you can only get half of these currents during your first visit to Kozama’uka. You will get the other five when you return to the southern half of the map later.
