The star – who hosted Big Brother for 10 years – also confessed that she feared she would “never work in the entertainment world again” when she left the reality show.

The TV star also revealed: “I have a really good story to tell about The Masked Singer. I had lunch with the head of ITV and I was 52 or 53, I’ve known him forever, and he asked, “Can you sing Davina?” and I said, “Kind of… in the shower. Why? ”
“He was a contestant on the show, and I said, ‘What are you talking about? I shouldn’t be on it, I should be presenting it!”
“He told me they already had a host for the show – Joel Dommett – who’s great, so I said, ‘Can I be on the panel?'” A week later, I got a call to be on the panel.
“For me, that was a second spring, because I never thought I’d go back to work in entertainment, I never thought I’d get the chance to wear fancy dresses and outrageous shoes on television again.
Surprise! In last week’s semifinals, Kimberley Walsh (pictured) was revealed as Odd Socks, while Denise Lewis was revealed as the Sea Slug in a double elimination
“Every week when I’m at The Masked Singer, you just know you’re looking at the most grateful person. Not because I’m on television, but because I know it’s an opportunity to make a form of television that I love so much. If you don’t try, you won’t get it!’
