Davina McCall continued to show off her new hairstyle on Monday after stylist friend Michael Douglas lovingly cut her locks.

The TV presenter, 57, was treated to a new treatment – her first since her operation to remove a rare benign tumor in her brain – and seemed delighted with the results as she joined her hunky partner, 50, for an Instagram Live.

The couple beamed and packed on the PDA in the fun clip as Michael poked fun at Davina as he modeled a new pair of red trousers.

She couldn’t wipe the smile off her face and was in trouble when she gave her partner of five years an impromptu fashion show.

On Sunday, Michael explained that he wanted to pamper the former Big Brother presenter by sharing the entire hairstyle on Instagram, showing fans his techniques and tips.

During the Davina pampering session revealed that having children caused her to lose a lot of her hair, while she wondered if she would ever get it Botox again.

She also showed her scar for the first time, saying “It’s all healed, it’s a bit crusty,” but mourned the hair loss around it, saying “we’ve lost a big chunk of this” and lamenting that it would take ages to to grow back.

But Michael assured his partner that hair grows about “6 inches a year,” stressing that “you won’t notice anything by this time next year.”

He then showed off her longer locks and said, “People think you have really thick hair, but it’s actually really thin,” as Davina turned around in mock outrage and shouted, “What!?”

She then admitted that she didn’t have much hair, but it was thick, as Michael corrected: “The locks are quite thick, but you don’t have much hair.”

The former Big Brother presenter explained that she had a lot of hair until she became pregnant with her three children, Holly, 23, Tilly, 21, and Chester, 18.

She said sadly, ‘I did [thick hair]. But I had babies,” before joking, “They took my hair! They put it on their own heads, they all have beautiful hair.”

Michael then provided Davina with stylish bangs and chatted with watching fans during the process, one of whom joked in the comments: ‘Bangs are cheaper than Botox’.

Davina laughed as she agreed, explaining that despite having had Botox before, she wouldn’t choose to get it again because it was “important that I could move my eyebrows” for her job.

She replied, “You’re absolutely right. I have a lot of wrinkles on my forehead. I mean, I can’t do it and I don’t have Botox. I’ve had it before, like my frown lines.

“But when I do shows like Long Lost Family, the people I talk to need to know how I feel. I can tell them how I feel with my face, I can emote.

‘So it’s important that I can move my eyebrows. But bangs really soften your forehead.’

Throughout it all, she was in good spirits and looked very much in love with Michael as the pair shared a mid-kiss and teased each other.

The couple have been dating since 2019, but during the video the Davina explained that they first met 20 years earlier when he cut her hair for the first time.

At one point in the livestream, Michael pulled her hair to cut some layers in the front and the TV star could be heard sucking in a breath and wincing as he quickly apologized to her for being too rough.

As she reassured him it was fine, the hairstylist cheekily said to the camera: “I was a bit rough there – she normally likes it rough,” causing Davina to giggle: “Michael Douglas, you’re naughty!”

As the couple discussed their health, Michael admitted that he was also experiencing hair loss due to recent stress that aggravated his alopecia, and showed off his bald spots for the camera.

Michael joked that he had impressed himself with the cut because Davina had looked ‘terrible’ at first, and before she started gushing it had been ‘a joy’ to do her hair.

Davina has been very outspoken about her health problems and gave an emotional update in an Instagram video on Thursday, urging others to get private health checks if they could afford them.

The My Mum Your Dad presenter had her tumor collected at a private clinic after she was offered a health check after taking part in a talk on menopause.

Discussing her progress post-surgery, she explained: ‘I really feel a lot more like myself now. I feel much better.

‘My sense of gratitude is growing day by day, I cry a little less, which is good. I’m really looking forward to Christmas.

‘I want to talk about the place where I did my health check. I haven’t been singing about it from the rooftops because it costs more than most people can afford. It’s expensive, BUT it saved my life. But for most it is unaffordable.

‘The NHS also offers a range of other checks. So get them – get the health check done. Preventive medicine is better than reactive medicine.

‘Eat well, exercise, be less stressed. I just feel so grateful right now. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at the clinics. I’m pretty sure you saved my life.’

She then wrote the caption: “I understand that for most of my followers, a private health check is not financially feasible. But I really believe @onewelbeck deserves a special mention.

‘They were the company that gave me the health check as a gift in exchange for the lecture I gave them, and that health check may have saved my life. I owe a debt of gratitude to Rupal and Simi for guiding me through a crazy year.

“I recently interviewed @drchatterjee and he said that the tough times he has faced have always become something of a blessing… and I definitely feel like this whole experience is a blessing.

‘The love I feel for life, my family, my partner, nature, the sun, the rain, the wind… everything… it’s overwhelming sometimes… and I completely understand how lucky I was to this health check… but there were many health checks that I skillfully ignored when I got letters from @nhsengland offering them…. so what I’m saying is: DO THE NHS HEALTH CHECKS… they’re free! Thanks x by the way, for all the messages and support…big hugs.”
