Davina McCall Reveals The One Thing She Makes Her Boyfriend Michael Do When He Goes Out At Night

Davina McCall has revealed that she has her boyfriend Michael Douglas contact her on nights out via a video app when she’s not there.

Speaking on his podcast, making the cut, Davina, 55, revealed that hairdresser Michael, 48, will send short video messages to her loved one to provide updates on their night.

While she insists she’s not the ‘jealous’ type, Davina said having the night’s searches makes her feel comfortable.

She explained: ‘When Michael goes out without me, which I get more FOMO [fear of missing out] de, I usually invite myself and come.

‘It’s a simple app where you just record a message and the person can watch it live or whenever they want… I think receiving a video message is better than a written message.

“And throughout the night I get five ten-second texts from you increasingly drunk and cute checking in and saying, ‘Hey we’re having so much fun, come on here, Sam’s joining us.'” she said.

“In the morning, it made me feel included and I also think if I were to leave it to myself, I would imagine you meet the cast of Moulin Rouge or the box or [went to] a sex club,’ she said with a smile.

She insisted: ‘I’I’m not a jealous person and I don’t like it if you go out, but it’s nice to be a part of it.’

It comes after Davina confirmed last month that the couple had moved in together, and the pair had already started making “new traditions.”

The judge of The Masked Singer revealed that their hairdresser moved into their house before Christmas and they watched The King’s Speech together with Rebecca, Davina’s sister.

She said on her podcast: “I’m quite enjoying as a new couple doing new things, because we’re living together recently.”

“It’s really cool to make new traditions because we did it before Christmas, we sat down together and talked about it: ‘Okay, blank space, what are we doing tradition from now on?’

The couple then explained how the first of their common-law traditions was watching The King’s Speech together on Christmas Day afternoon.

Updates: Speaking on her podcast, Making the Cut, Davina, 55, revealed that hairdresser Michael, 48, communicates with her throughout the night via a video app called Marco Polo.

Davina admitted: ‘My grandmother and father were ardent royalists; my sister was a fervent realist.

‘I have to admit that I never actually watched the queen’s speech, but I was very interested in seeing the king’s speech this year because it was my first.

“I loved it because Rebecca stood up and waved because my dad would have done that and I loved her for it.” I really liked watching it. Let’s make it a new tradition of living together.’

Marco Polo is a video chat app that is also known to act as a ‘video walkie-talkie’, allowing you to send short videos to each other instead of a constant video call.

You can only submit videos through the platform, not photos.

She went public with her romance with Michael in the summer of 2019.

Davina confirmed the end of her 17-year marriage to Matthew Robertson in November 2017, when she told MailOnline: “I am very sad to say that Matthew and I have parted ways.”

“Our amazing children are our number one priority, above all else, so we ask for as much space and respect as possible from the media as our family goes through this difficult time.”

The former couple share three children, Holly, 21, Tilly, 19, and Chester, 16.

The Next Step: It comes after Davina confirmed last month that the couple have moved in together, and the pair have already started making “new traditions.”
