She told The Weekend, “I love feeling fit, it really makes me feel good, both for my mental health and my energy. It makes me feel alive.’
It comes after Davina admitted she would ‘rather remain celibate for the rest of her life’ than join the celebrity dating app Raya.
The TV legend, who is gearing up to host a brand new dating show for middle-aged men and women, revealed it would be “too embarrassing.”
And while dishing out her best relationship advice ahead of the launch of My Mum, Your Dad, the star said matchmaking is the way forward for people “her age.”
Speak with Radio timesDavina explained, “I’d rather be celibate for the rest of my life!” It would be too embarrassing!
“At our age, it’s up to your friends to sort you out. I’ve paired up some friends – I think they’re getting married. But men don’t stay single for long.’

She added about the differences between dating now: “If you’re trying to get 20-year-olds to date, it’s easy because at 20 all you think is, ‘Do I like you? Yes. Brilliant!’

“A middle-aged dating show… it’s not just about a sexual connection, although the spark has to be there right away. You have to say, “I kinda like them,” but getting to know someone is much more important.
“Everyone our age has baggage. But that makes people interesting and sometimes it fascinates you.’
Davina is currently in a relationship with hairdresser Michael Douglas, 48, who she went public with in 2019.
She confirmed the end of her 17-year marriage to ex-husband Matthew Robertson in November 2017, telling MailOnline: ‘I am very sad to say that Matthew and I have separated.
“Our wonderful children are our number one priority, above all else, so we ask for as much space and respect from the media as possible as our family goes through this difficult time.”
The former couple have three children: Holly, 21, Tilly, 19, and 16-year-old son Chester.
