Davina McCall, 56, furiously hits back at cruel body shamers and declares ‘I look absolutely f***ing great!’ as famous friends rush to her defence

Davina McCall has hit back at body shamers on Instagram after they accused her of being ‘too skinny’ this week.

The former Big Brother host, 56, shared a video response to the comments which she said left her ‘furious’.

Davina has slammed ‘cruel’ trolls who she said as a celeb she expected to ‘get the jokes’, before declaring she ‘felt and looked absolutely fantastic’.

Telling fans, “I thought I’d make a quick post about the kind of, I think it’s basically like abuse, that I’m about to lose weight. It’s really frustrating’.

“I feel like people post these things and there are no consequences because they can post whatever they want and be cruel, and I just have to accept it. I’m really just feeling angry, so I thought I’d unload here for a bit.”

She continued, “I am a 6-foot-4 woman and weigh 130 pounds. I’m not on a diet. I practice. I eat relatively healthy and I enjoy sharing that journey with people.’

‘I’m 57 this year and I’m happy with the way I look, and I feel absolutely great. And so I thought I would post that out there.”

“I can’t really do much about my neck and my face unless I fill it with filler. I don’t know what to do about my neck, it’s my neck. And maybe the lighting was bad or something and everyone is but all what you have what I need to do is look at the rest of my posts on my page and see that I am not unhealthy’.

Before we conclude: But this was terrible. So I’ll park that there and just say, maybe think about it before you post. Wouldn’t it be nicer to say something positive? And if you can’t say anything positive, don’t bother.’

She captioned the post: “I’ll probably regret posting this. I normally never do this. I’ll probably leave it here for a while and then delete it’.

Fans and famous friends quickly rushed to her defense as Amanda Holden wrote: ‘F*** em darling’.

While Loose Women’s Kaye Adams said: ‘It’s not about you Davina – it’s about them. You are amazing just the way you are’.

Lauren Laverne agreed: “pure projection by people who are deeply unhappy with themselves. It’s theirs, not yours to worry about and hold on to. Sending lots of love.”

And Angela Scanlan said, ‘I love you.’

Meg Matthews added: ‘You don’t have to justify your training, you’re eating healthy and you’re where you want to be… so what… you look great.

It comes after reports Davina was planning to launch a podcast with Dragon Den’s star and boyfriend Steven Bartlett.

The Masked Singer judge appeared on the entrepreneur’s famed podcast Diary Of A CEO, where she opened up about her past addiction – which led to the start of a friendship between the pair.

And it now seems like the pair hit it off so well, sources now say The mirror that the TV favorite has been signed up as one of Steven’s ‘key partners’ in his successful podcast network.

It looks like the British CEO, 31, will be supporting Davina on her journey to build a brand new wellness podcast, which will launch on his network.

“Davina is one of Steven’s first major signings for his network and they are working on ideas for the podcast together,” a source told the publication.

The duo seemed to ‘really hit it off’ after Davina’s appearance on his podcast and have since joined forces and discussed how they could work together.

‘Davina’s passion for health and fitness made a wellness podcast an obvious choice. They are both very excited about the project and can’t wait to get started later this year,” the source said.

The TV star appeared on Steven’s podcast in January 2023, where she opened up about a range of intimate topics, including the death of her sister and her addiction at a young age, and even shared her thoughts on cancel culture.
