David Warner’s six-year-old daughter showed no respect for the Prime Minister’s bowling and crushed him for four runs during a backyard game on New Year’s Day at Kirribilli House.
Anthony Albanese was the host at his official residence in Sydney inviting the Australian Opening Test batsman, 36, with his wife of seven years, Candice, also 36, and their daughters: Ivy, seven, Indi, six and Island, three.
Walking in to bowl from the south end of the manicured lawn, Mr Albanese bowled a delivery to young Indi, who struck the Labor leader across the side, prompting her father to yell: ‘Come on, get you’re supposed to take it. easy with him’.
David Warner enjoyed a New Years game of cricket with a very special guest on Sunday. The 36-year-old cricketer joined Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at Kirribilli House in Sydney for a friendly match. David is photographed with his children and the PM.
The family first chatted with the prime minister inside the iconic venue, with Albanese couple Jodie Haydon crouching down to speak to the young women.
Then they headed out onto the lawn to soak up the sun.
Candice also got in on the game, looking stunning in a burnt orange maxi dress.
After the youngster threw him over the fence, Mr Albanese had the last laugh and presented David, a die-hard NRL fan of Rooster, with a Rabbitohs cap.
He reluctantly accepted the gift, but refused to try it on, to the prime minister’s laughter.
The politician got athletic on the field with David’s daughters Ivy, seven, Indi, six, and Isla, three, whom he shares with his wife of seven years, Candice.
The group headed out onto the lawn to play a game of cricket.
The lively PM was catching balls hit by David and the children present.
David’s wife, Candice (pictured), was also in on the game, looking stunning in a burnt orange maxi dress.

It comes after David shared a moving tribute to his wife after putting on an unforgettable show at the MCG at the annual Boxing Day cricket match, where he scored 200.
He posted a series of photos with Candice on his Instagram account and expressed his love for her.
There are no words that can describe my love for you!! Thank you so much for everything you do for the girls and for me,” she began.
