David Walliams ‘becomes embroiled in an argument with a fellow first class airline passenger’

David Walliams allegedly got into an ‘argument’ with a first-class airline passenger who tried to take a video of him.

The 51-year-old comedian had reportedly been spotted at the Emirates First Class VIP bar by fan Jamie McDonald, who was on a trip to Dubai.

But David was apparently unimpressed when Jamie tried to take a sneaky video of him, with the fan claiming it ended up in an “argument” with the star.

In images shared on TikTok last month, David could be seen giving Jamie a very stony look while covertly filming the Little Britain actor.

In the text printed on the video, Jamie claimed: “I just had an argument with David Walliams in the first class lounge because of this video.”

He went on to claim that he was “uncomfortably” sitting in the luxurious first-class pod of the Emirates plane right next to David, sharing a video apparently of the star’s leg.

In another caption, Jamie claimed David had “informed” him, adding: “I don’t know if I can fly Emirates again.” What a bean!

Commenting on the alleged incident, a source said Sun David had been trying to keep a “low profile” and made it clear that he was “not happy” about being portrayed.

The source said: “David was hoping to keep a low profile during his trip, but when you’re one of the biggest stars on TV, that’s no small feat.”

“He was seen in the lounge, but he didn’t make a scene, although he made it clear he wasn’t happy.”

‘On the flight, the guy tried to sneak another photo and David had had enough. He told a staff member and Emirates decided to intervene.

It comes after David has apparently reunited with his former co-star Matt Lucas for a mysterious “writing” project.

David and comedian Matt, 48, took to Instagram on Thursday to share a photo of the two huddled around their laptops.

Matt kept it casual in a red sweater while David cut a relaxed figure in a black hooded sweater as they appeared to be hard at work on their computers.

Reunited: It comes after David apparently reunited with his former co-star Matt Lucas for a mysterious ‘writing’ project.

Along with the snap, Matt teased that he might be working with David once again, simply captioning the post: “Writing.”

The comedy duo worked together for years on shows like Come Fly With Me, Little Britain, and their spin-offs.

But their relationship turned rocky during a feud that lasted from 2011 to around 2018, during which time they were not seen together in public.

In his 2018 autobiography, Matt revealed how tensions between the couple flared in 2005 during their Little Britain Live tour, leading to a spectacular backstage brawl.

Sketches: The comedy duo worked together for years on series like Come Fly With Me, Little Britain and their spin-offs and reunited this year for a Red Nose Day sketch.

However, the pair reconciled in recent years and reunited on screen for a Red Nose Day sketch earlier this year, and now they seem to be working together once again.

It comes after Matt revealed that he left his role as host of The Great British Bake Off after three series earlier this week.

He has co-hosted the Channel 4 show along with Noel Fielding since 2020, but has now stepped down from his role, citing his heavy workload as the reason.

On social media, he wrote: ‘Bye Bake Off! It has been a delightful experience and I cannot imagine a more fun way to spend my summers.

Retire: It comes after Matt announced that he would step down as host of The Great British Bake Off after three series, citing his heavy workload as the reason for retiring.

“But it became clear to me that I can’t present both Fantasy Football League and Bake Off along with all my other projects.

“So after three seasons and 51 episodes, I am happily passing the baguette to someone else.

“I would like to give my sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone at Love Productions and Channel 4 and to Noelipops, Paul, Dame Prue, the team and of course the wonderful bakers for welcoming me to the tent.

“I wish the best to whoever takes over and can’t wait to tune in to the next series not knowing who won!”

Matt joined the show in series 11, replacing fellow comedian Sandi Toksvig, who left the show after three seasons.

Elsewhere, it was recently reported that David has left Britain’s Got Talent ahead of its 2023 series.

His future on BGT remains in doubt after he described an elderly contestant as a ‘c***’ and made vile sexual comments about a woman who was also a contestant on the show.

The comments, made in January 2020 during auditions at the London Palladium, were picked up by the show’s microphones and revealed last month.

They left production company Thames and broadcaster ITV uncertain if he would return for the 2023 series.

During the audition, an older actor joked with the judges in which he made fun of David. After the audition, the retiree left, at which point David is said to have called him a ‘c***’ three times.

In another instance, after a contestant auditioning on the same show walked offstage, he commented, “She’s like the slightly boring girl you meet in the pub who thinks you want to fuck her but you’re not… She’s The last thing on your mind, but she’s like, ‘Yeah, I bet you do!’

David, who along with fellow judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon were in talks to return for a tenth series, is ‘under the microscope’, with some senior staff saying he should be fired immediately.

Departure: He has co-hosted the Channel 4 show along with Noel Fielding since 2020, but has now stepped down from his role, citing his heavy workload as the reason.

Amanda and Simon have weighed in on the scandal surrounding David after offensive comments he made about contestants on Britain’s Got Talent were leaked.

Despite the backlash, Amanda publicly endorsed her co-star this week when he proudly declared himself “Team David.”

Speaking about the future of Britain’s Got Talent, Amanda told Good Morning Britain: ‘I’d like to see the judging panel as before. I think we are a great team, we are a family.

When asked directly if she was ‘Team David’, she replied: ‘Of course I am team David.

Simon, 63, was less forthcoming when asked about his fellow judge in an interview with The Daily Star.

When asked about David’s behaviour, Simon replied: ‘Can’t we go there? If you do not mind.

When asked if David would appear at the BGT 2023 panel, he cryptically replied, “Ask me in a few weeks.”

He also insisted that the judges were not the key to the show’s success, reflecting, “I think for me, the most important thing, and I had this conversation the other day.” It’s always about talent.

“If you don’t have great talent, you don’t have a show,” he said. That’s all I care about.

The remaining Britain’s Got Talent judge, Alesha Dixon, has yet to comment on the news.
