Speaking on his Seaman Says Youtube Channelhe said: ‘The situation in Aubameyang…his last season at Arsenal is exactly as it is now’ [at Chelsea].

“The fact that Barcelona let him go says it all. I’m not surprised [he is struggling].

“I’m not surprised how he plays. He’s been like that for a while. He does it in flashes, he doesn’t do it long enough.’

Seaman was disappointed that Arsenal fans couldn’t laugh at Aubameyang when he ‘slipped out’ when he was substituted.

He said: “The only disappointing thing about this weekend is that when Arsenal scored, he sneaked away.

“I wanted the Arsenal fans to boo him well. They didn’t get that chance because he was hooked as soon as we scored and all the Arsenal fans were too busy partying.”

During his time at Arsenal, Aubameyang scored 92 goals in 163 appearances.

Aubameyang scored in three consecutive appearances for Chelsea at the beginning of October, but he hasn’t been able to find it since.

The striker left Arsenal in February this year after a falling out with manager Mikel Arteta.

A short spell at Barcelona followed before making the move to Stamford Bridge.

Aubameyang was unable to cause any problems for Arsenal and Chelsea boss Graham Potter will have been concerned about his performance.

The 33-year-old was on the bench when Chelsea were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Manchester City on Wednesday. He hopes to make an impression at Newcastle on Saturday.
