The veteran comedian made an appearance to promote the Hy-Vee IndyCar race weekend in which he owned a car.

It comes just days after Lana Del Rey wowed fans by working in an Alabama Waffle House.

She was spotted last week at the restaurant in Florence, Alabama, serving customers and urging her friends not to take videos of strangers without their permission.

It remains unclear what the singer is in town for.

Letterman’s appearance in the grocery store better suits his humor.
