An angry David Koch again hits back at trolls for false claims by Jeffrey Epstein: 'An outrageous accusation'
David Koch has hit back at trolls who have falsely claimed the beloved TV personality is linked to disgraced sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The 67-year-old former Sunrise breakfast show host said he was being confused with the late US oil tycoon.
The billionaire, who shared the same name as Koch before he died in 2019, was mentioned in recently released court documents related to the Epstein sex scandal.
Koch took to Twitter on Thursday and posted a scathing critique of online pests who had mocked the retired star on the platform over an alleged connection to Epstein.
“It's the American oil billionaire of the same name, not me,” an angry Koch tweeted on Thursday.

He continued, “A fact that is quite easy to investigate with very little effort before such an outrageously false accusation is made.”
Koch also posted another statement, saying:
“To be clear, the David Koch named on the Jeffrey Epstein lists released by the US courts is the US oil billionaire of the same name and not related.”

The court documents mention several big names, including former US presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton. Neither Trump nor Clinton are accused of any wrongdoing or knowledge of any crimes committed.

The latest set of documents provides further background information on the chilling allegations of sex with minors by Epstein and his associates.

One of the files contains details of testimonies already given by Johanna Sjoberg, who was hired at the age of 20 to work as a massage therapist.
Sjoberg was recruited on a college campus, had no massage training and said she was forced to perform sex acts with Epstein.
Bill Clinton, meanwhile, has long tried to downplay his association with Epstein, but admitted he traveled on his private plane. According to an Axios analysis, he is mentioned 50 times in the newly released documents.
On Wednesday, a Clinton spokesperson told CNN that he knew nothing of Epstein's “terrible crimes” during their friendship, adding that it has been “almost 20 years since Clinton last had contact with Epstein.”
