Billionaire media magnate and philanthropist David Geffen was first spotted Monday at a New York City heliport with a band on that finger.
The 80-year-old record holder, who is reportedly worth a cool $9 billion, is rumored to have tied the knot with 30-year-old beau Donovan Michaels in a private ceremony in Beverly Hills last month.
While neither Geffen nor Michaels have publicly confirmed the nuptials, the couple landed together in the Big Apple in a laid-back spring look, ready to spend some quality time together.
The couple arrived with an entourage of several people, including former David Geffen Company president Eric Eisner and his wife Lisa Eisner.
Geffen wore a white-brimmed hat with double stripes, a light flannel jacket, dark pants and trainers, and of course a prominent band on his ring finger.

Donovan Michaels, 30, was also seen exiting the helipad. It was not clear if he was wearing a gold belt to match Geffen’s
Michaels wore a black Yankees cap, dark glasses and an all black ensemble with adidas sweatpants and a new pair of white Nike Air Force Ones. He was also carrying what appeared to be a white shopping bag.
In December, Geffen shared a photo of herself with Michaels on a boat with the caption “Merry Christmas!” but deleted it several hours later.
The mogul’s social media has since gone private.
When knowz.com reported the rumored marriage last month, a source was quoted as saying that “David has loved Donovan for a while and they were talking about taking the next step together.”
“David has waited a long time to find the right partner, and Donovan is definitely the one,” the source said.
The wedding was reportedly a small ceremony in Beverly Hills attended by only two other couples – a contrast to the often lavish and expensive parties thrown by the Hollywood elite.
“David and Donovan chose a simple yet special ceremony to mark their union, and they were surrounded by close family and friends,” the source said.
Not much is known about Michaels, who is often referred to as a model but hasn’t posted on Instagram since 2018.
Geffen came out as gay in 1992 after years of being associated with a string of well-known women, including Cher.
Earlier in his storied career, Geffen founded Asylum Records, which signed musical sensations like Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and the Eagles. He later founded Geffen Records, which went on to release the work of artists such as Elton John, Cher, Aerosmith, Blink-182, Guns N’ Roses and Nirvana.
Together with Jeffrey Katzenberg and Steven Spielberg, Geffen founded DreamWorks in the 1990s.

As a philanthropist, Geffen has donated at least hundreds of millions, if not more, to various causes and institutions over the years.
In 2002, he donated $200 million to the UCLA School of Medicine and in 2012 another $100 million to the school.
In 2015, he pledged to donate $100 million to the renovation taking place at New York’s Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
In June 2021, Geffen donated $10 million to the Yale School of Drama, enabling the institution to scrap tuition for all students enrolled in graduate programs.
And in September 2021, he donated $75 million to Columbia Business School for the school’s new facilities in the Manhattanville neighborhood.
