David Bowie’s two savage last words to friend Gary Oldman – (but he didn’t take it personally)

Gary Oldman has revealed the last words his late friend, music superstar David Bowie, said to him before his death.

Bowie’s last statement to Oldman was: ‘F*** off.’

Fortunately, the expletive was not directed at the actor, but at the problems Bowie faced with technology.

The pair were due to talk via Skype on Sunday before Bowie died of liver cancer in 2016.

But during their last conversation, Bowie became frustrated after it proved difficult to end the conversation.

Oldman said the last thing his friend said to him was “really, so wonderful, David” when he spoke to The Drew Barrymore Show on CBS.

He said that as Bowie clicked the button to disconnect, the singer said, “Okay, I’ll talk to you next week.”

He then said ‘go away, go away’ before pressing the hang-up button and saying ‘f*** off’.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Oldman praised his late friend for dealing with his illness with ‘such dignity, grace and humour’.

He said Bowie began the email telling him about his cancer diagnosis with, “I have good news, I have bad news.”

The bad news was that he had ‘the big C’.

But Oldman said Bowie told him the good news was, “I have my cheekbones back.”
