David Bowie’s spacesuit is expected to fetch more than £81,000 at auction.
The iconic costume the late singer wore in his 1980 video for Ashes to Ashes is one of the high-profile lots that can get their hands on fans through Propstore Auction later this year, with full sales expected to exceed £1.5 million.
In addition to Bowie’s spacesuit, there is also a custom silver Gibson Les Paul Florentine guitar used by Noel Gallagher, expected to cost around £510,000, a top worn by Rihanna in her 2016 Work music video for £8,000 – £12,000 , and a pair of boots worn by Mel B on a Spice Girls tour, which she signed, for £2,000-£3,000.

The auction will start in November and interested collectors can bid online, in person or over the phone.
Earlier this month, hitmaker Space Oddity’s estate launched an NFT art sale to raise money for CARE, an international humanitarian charity run by his widow, Iman.
Bowie on the Blockchain featured work paying tribute to the late singer from nine digital artists — including one of Pussy Riot’s vocalists — which will be up for sale on September 13.

Ryan Foutty of NFT marketplace OpenSea said: “David Bowie is an icon and a pioneer in every way, and we are honored to be working with his team.
“This incredible collection brings together some of the most groundbreaking NFT artists with Bowie artifacts to bring together a new generation of fans in web 3 (the concept of token-based web trading.)”
And Andrew Keller, co-founder of the We Love The Arts project partner, said: ‘This is a unique opportunity to get in touch with the Bowie Estate and this group of artists, for whom I have immense respect.

Customised: The pop singer has the platform Buffalo boots, favorite of the Spice Girls, signed with green highlighter, and the footwear is expected to sell for £2,000-£3,000

“I hope this collection we’ve created serves at the same time to capture Bowie’s ethos on the Blockchain, as well as spotlight a hugely talented group of artists and an exciting new space for the arts.”
The artists contributing to the Bowie on the Blockchain’ project are Defaced, FEWOCIOUS, Glam Beckett, JAKE, Jonathan Wolfe, Lirona, Nadya Tolokonnikova – from the Russian protest group Pussy Riot – Osinachi and Young and Sick.
Nadya, 32, said of David’s influence on her life and work: ‘David Bowie to me is a Platonic ideal of an artist – charismatic, passionate, imaginative, magnetic.

It’s not the first time Bowie material has been traded as NFTs, with photos and unheard of audio also previously released online.
Tickets: A collection of tickets to Black Sabbath performances are estimated to cost between £300 and £500
