The 47-year-old former soccer player reportedly hopes to create spirits such as tequila and whiskey under the new brand, alongside beers.
It could be the path to a big payday for the jock as he follows in the footsteps of stars like Ryan Reynolds and Kylie Minogue.
Since 2014, he has been the face of the Haig Club, owned by drinks giant Diageo, but is said to have decided not to renew his contract with the brand, which ends in the coming months.

Ryan Reynolds became a co-owner of Aviation Gin along with Davos Brands in 2018, leading to a massive payout when the brand was sold in 2020 to Diageo, likely netting the actor more than $100 million.
While George Clooney co-founded Casamigos Tequila in 2013, it was also previously sold to the beverage giant four years later for $1 billion.
