David Beckham admitted he was 'gutted' as he showed off the devastation caused by Storm Henk at his family's Cotswolds home on Wednesday.

The former footballer, 48, uploaded to his Instagram page a photo of a large tree ripped from the ground by the wind near his property.

He wrote: 'It could have been worse. Still gutted,” along with a crying emoji.

David and his wife Victoria, 49, who share four children Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 11, bought their mansion in December 2016 for a reported £6.15million.

The property features a sauna, plunge pool, football pitch, gym, swimming pool and a £50,000 on-site BBQ tent for entertainment.

Later in the day, David showed off his new chickens and rooster, which were gifted to him by Victoria on Christmas Day.

The former athlete filmed the birds as he walked to the coop while shaking a bucket of food.

It comes after David brushed up on his chicken keeping skills last week.

Posh shared a photo of David on Instagram on Friday with the caption “Chicken keeping for dummies.”

She wrote: 'Just a little Friday night reading for @DavidBeckham'.

The book is a much-needed gift for David as it provides an introduction to chicken keeping, their proper feeding regime and expert advice from the River Cottage 'Chicken Whisperer'.

Victoria set up a coop and chicken coop for David at their Cotswolds farm, to complement his own beehives on the vast estate.

On Instagram, the fashion designer proudly showed off the brood of Beckham chickens complete with rooster.

From behind the camera, Victoria showed off the chicken coop in the garden of their Cotswolds home and asked: 'What did you get for Christmas, David?

“A few chickens and a rooster,” the footballer replied as his wife continued: “Beckham's chickens.”

Victoria joked: 'There's a huge cock in there too' before calling their new feathered friends 'camera shy'.
