Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham was let down by the antics of Lionel Messi’s sons during a rain stoppage.
The MLS club’s Leagues Club game against Orlando City was delayed by an hour and a half due to thunder and lightning in the area.
As the rain poured down, most spectators took shelter in the stadium, but it seems that after the downpour eased, Messi’s sons went back into the stands to watch their father tear up the pitch again.
After the torrential rain, the DRV PNK Stadium was clearly soggy and the children seemed to be enjoying themselves by throwing soggy stuff on the pitch.
Messi’s eldest two sons Matteo and Thiago were spotted lining the pitch in Inter Miami jerseys with their father’s number 10 on the back.

They were joined by one of Sergio Busquet’s sons, who wore a jersey with number 5 and ‘Papi’ for the former Barcelona star.
Beckham continued to laugh at their antics before going for a high-five with one of the little troublemakers.
But the former Manchester United star had to jokingly jump back in shock as they waved a soggy flag in his face.
The little prank shot the English football legend in the face, as his daughter Harper turned to avoid the blast.
Beckham didn’t seem to mind as he continued to beam at the mischief.
He was present at the DRV PNK stadium for Messi’s first three matches for Inter Miami.
He watched from the stands for Messi’s first two games with wife Victoria, and they were joined by their daughter and youngest child Harper on Wednesday night.
The Beckham family were not alone in watching as Messi’s wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, was later seen on the television broadcast.
The Argentinian beauty beamed as she stood behind one of her sons and celebrated her husband’s opening goal after just seven minutes of play.
Beckham and Messi appear to have a close bond with the former England football star recently claiming that bringing Messi to Inter Miami was one of the best moments of his life.

“I never thought that as an owner I would feel the same as when I was a player,” said Beckham The athletic.
“When I got the call (to confirm that Messi was coming) I felt like I had when I walked into Old Trafford or Wembley. I was like, “We just beat all the competition to attract the best player to ever play our game”.
“This will be up there with the greatest moves in American sports history.”
When asked if it was one of the best moments of his life, Beckham replied: ‘Without a doubt’.
