David Beckham jokes his Elf on the Shelf tradition has ‘got out of control’ as he gets involved in the family Christmas game

Even David Beckham has gotten involved in the annual Christmas tradition of Elf on the Shelf.
The former footballer, 49, shared a light-hearted video of him finding an Eleven scene in his office early on Monday morning.
Elf on the Shelf is an extremely popular game among families. Parents try to leave hilarious and elaborate sets for their kids to find in the morning.
David shares four children – Harper, 13, Brooklyn, 25, Cruz, 19, and Romeo, 22, – with his fashion designer wife Victoria.
He said in the clip: ‘Morning – I literally just walked into the office and normally the office is pretty tidy, but something happened during the night… I mean really, there’s mess on the floor…
“It’s definitely Christmas in the office!”

There were several elves standing over the loudspeaker in the office and some had even fallen to the floor.
David shared the video and wrote in the caption: ‘This is getting out of hand… it’s definitely Christmas in the office.’
It comes after David paid tribute to much-loved Manchester United receptionist Kath Phipps last week after she passed away at the age of 85.
United announced the news of her death on Thursday, sharing a heartfelt 454-word statement in honor of Phipps, who worked at the club for 55 years in various roles.
In the tribute, United praised Phipps as a “ubiquitous figure since the late 1960s” and a “one-woman institution.”
Several former United players and staff also paid tribute to Phipps and Beckham wrote his own message to her on Thursday evening.
Beckham posted a photo of himself holding Phipps’ hand on Instagram and said: “Forever in our hearts… The first and last face I always saw was Kath sitting at the reception at Old Trafford waiting to give me my to hand over tickets for the match. .
‘She was the heartbeat of Manchester United, everyone knew who Kath was and everyone loved her.

Phipps, who appeared in Beckham’s Netflix documentary about his life, started working at United in 1968 during the reign of Sir Matt Busby as the club’s first operator.
In May 2022, after more than fifty years of service, she was honored with a Service to Football Award – with Beckham admitting that the ‘amazing’ receptionist ‘really deserved’ the honor for her services to football and United in general.
