David Beckham enjoyed a pizza night in New York City after visiting Yankee Stadium for Lionel Messi’s debut on Saturday.

The soccer legend and Inter Miami boss was in the Big Apple for the highly anticipated match between the Herons and New York City FC. During the match, Beckham posed with actress Anne Hathaway, who was wearing a pink Miami shirt, and his son Romeo.

After spending the afternoon in the Bronx, Beckham headed to Brooklyn, where he enjoyed pizza at Lucali in Carroll Gardens.

ā€œThe best cakes, the best music, the best people, SIMPLY THE BEST,ā€ Beckham wrote in an Instagram Story, tagging the restaurant.

In another slide, Beckham called Lucali his ā€œfavorite place in the world.ā€

In addition to Hathaway and Romeo, Beckham posted photos with sports agent David Gardner and director Fisher Stevens in an Instagram post.

ā€œA few lovely days in NYC with friends and family,ā€ he wrote.

44,738 fans turned out to watch Messi play as Inter Miami and NYCFC held on to a 1-1 draw. The match produced some late-night drama, with Leo Campana opening the scoring for Beckham’s side in the 75th minute.

However, New York’s James Sands threw a spanner in the works with a goal in the 95th minute, sharing the points with the Herons.

With the draw, Inter Miami is now 19-7-4 (WDL) and continues to lead the Eastern Conference with 64 points.
