David Beckham cheekily quips ‘bend it like Beckham’ as he proudly shows off his huge courgette while giving fans a glimpse of his homegrown vegetables
David Beckham was in a playful mood on Saturday when he made a cheeky comment about his vegetables while giving fans a glimpse into his garden.
The 49-year-old green-fingered footballer happily showed off his collection of home-grown produce on Instagram as he strolled through the sprawling vegetable gardens at his Cotswolds home.
At one point, the star held up a giant zucchini, and David couldn’t resist commenting on its shape, causing him to look up in surprise: “Bend it like Beckham,” adding a laughing emoji.
The star then shared a photo of an equally large pumpkin as he joked to wife Victoria Beckham (50) that he “felt soup was coming tonight”.
During the tour, David not only showed off his impressive cucumbers, but was also happy to show fans the rest of his hard work.

In a video that David shared on his network, he enthusiastically showed off his kale, cabbage varieties and spring onions.
He said he also had “a lot of potatoes” and that he planned to make chips out of them.
Dressed in a green and blue checked shirt and a Baker Boy cap, the sportsman gave a glimpse of the berry patch he was ‘still working on’, as well as the growth of his sage and olive plants.
In addition to his fruits and vegetables, David also filmed glimpses of his chickens and hens and his beehives
David compared himself to TV gardener Alan Titchmarsh and told the camera: ‘Here’s a morning update from Mr Titchmarsh!’
He also noted in his post that his End End friends would no doubt tease him for ‘changing’ after swapping his motorcycle posts for gardening posts.
He shared: ‘My Kale is doing well. I can hear my friends from the East End saying, “He’s changed.” My wife told me to cut the video down but she clearly didn’t listen so I’m sorry…
‘My content used to be about motorcycles and camping, now it’s kale, honey and house flowers. I might have to go out again soon. @victoriabeckham you’re welcome for the house flowers.’

On Friday, David once again showed that he has green fingers and gave an insight into his passion.
His Instagram followers got a glimpse of his bountiful harvest, with baskets full of potatoes, kale, carrots and cauliflower.
Meanwhile, son Brooklyn opted for a laid-back evening and went shirtless for a fun game night with his wife, Nicola Peltz.
David’s latest garden pride comes just weeks after he gave fans a rare glimpse of his vast vegetable garden at his £12million farmhouse in the Cotswolds, complete with an expensive Alitex greenhouse.
In June, David joked on Instagram that his wife Victoria, 50, would be eating spring onions for lunch and dinner after a successful harvest.

David admitted that he suffered from hay fever, but that this certainly did not stop him from continuing his outdoor activities.
“Not bad for my first attempt,” he said.
The former footballer took to Instagram Stories to document his gardening adventures, sharing a selfie in front of his vegetable patch as he kept busy despite the wet weather.
