He captioned the photo: “As a proud @unicef Goodwill Ambassador and father of an amazing daughter, it is an issue close to my heart that girls everywhere need to have their voices heard, learn and have the opportunity to fulfill their potential.
“On this #DayoftheGirl, we encourage our world leaders to continue the fight to protect the rights of adolescent girls #GirlGoals.”
In another photo, taken by the charity responsible for providing humanitarian and development assistance to children around the world, the star was seen sharing a joke with a young teenager.

It comes as Romeo channeled his famous father’s sense of style while on the road in New York.
The model, who celebrated his catwalk debut at Balenciaga earlier this week, took to the streets of the Big Apple wearing a patterned satin headscarf.
Romeo kept a cool attitude in a gray sweater emblazoned with ‘Campion’ across the front, paired with oversized jeans and chunky sand-colored boots.
The second-eldest Beckham son completed his look with a black baseball cap that he wrapped the silk headscarf around.
Continuing to follow in his father’s fashionable footsteps, Romeo could be seen in the head-turning ensemble as he climbed a few steps before swinging from a bar just above.

On Monday, as he headed to dinner at the Hotel Costes in the French capital after storming the catwalk at Paris Fashion Week, he donned a pair of gray and white striped track bottoms over navy blue shorts.
Paris Fashion Week wasn’t the first time the star ventured into the fashion world.
A promising football prospect in his youth, Romeo drifted away from the game after being released by Arsenal in 2015 and turned his attention to a career in tennis.
However, Romeo then announced his intention to return to football in 2020 before joining father David’s MLS franchise Inter Miami the following year.
His first big break into the fashion world came when he was just 10 years old when he took on his first modeling assignment for Burberry.
Romeo followed in his mother’s footsteps from a young age and was fearless on set, described as ‘amazing, incredible and a bit of joy’, keeping everyone entertained as he ‘bounced around’.
His passion for fashion was cemented at an early age when he accompanied Victoria on shoots and mingled with a host of top designers.
