David Bailey doesn’t mince his words when it comes to the great and the good. He calls Mother Teresa a ‘tough old b****’ and claims Princess Diana has ‘terrible’ hair and a bad attitude.
However, the celebrated photographer is even more unpleasant in person, according to actress and model Jameela Jamil.
During a photo shoot for Vogue magazine, Bailey allegedly treated her so unkindly that she starved for almost a month afterwards.
“I was told I was ‘too fat’ to wear size zero clothes and that I should just hold the dress over me while standing nearly naked in a room full of strangers,” she says.
‘David Bailey literally shouted with glee: ‘She’s too fat for the dresses – we’ll shoot her naked.’

Jameela, who lives in Los Angeles with her musician boyfriend James Blake, adds: ‘I don’t think I ate for about three weeks after that.’
Jameela, 38, is a friend of the Duchess of Sussex and appeared on Meghan’s podcast Archetypes.
She also wrote an article for the 2019 issue of Vogue, of which Meghan was guest editor, with her photo on the cover.
Bailey, whose fourth wife is model Catherine Dyer, has seduced numerous models in the past, including Jean Shrimpton and Penelope Tree, plus actress Catherine Deneuve, who becomes his second wife.
