Dave Portnoy taunts Kyrie Irving with a CLOWN t-shirt of the NBA star’s face as he sits courtside for Boston Celtics vs Dallas Mavericks

Dave Portnoy taunted Kyrie Irving by wearing a clown T-shirt with a photo of the Mavericks star’s face during Game 2 of the NBA Finals in Boston.

Barstool Sports founder Portnoy was optimistic about the Celtics’ victory, but took aim at Dallas’ star man with his attire as he took his seat courtside for Game 2 in Boston.

Portnoy, 47, even appeared on the jumbotron at one point in the match – where he sat next to a blonde companion – and held up his T-shirt for the cameras. He was also seen cheering as loudly as possible when Irving had the ball during the game.

After the Celtics defeated Irving and his Mavericks team 105-98, Portnoy tweeted a link to the t-shirt he was wearing so fans could purchase it for $32.

Portnoy can also increase his gambling winnings to $7.5 million for this year if the Celtics win the NBA Finals and the Edmonton Oilers win the Stanley Cup.

Last week, before the Finals started, Portnoy said he would win $1.1 million alone if the Celtics became NBA champions.

It seems like a solid bet for now: Sunday’s win means the Celtics lead Irving and the Mavericks 2-0 in the series.

Before the game, Portnoy tweeted a photo of himself taking a selfie next to the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, captioning it, “Too early? #celticsin4′.

The Oilers, meanwhile, lost the first game in the battle for the Stanley Cup 3-0 to the Florida Panthers.

Game 3 of the NBA Finals is Wednesday night in Dallas. The Mavericks need a win then or in Game 4 on Friday to avoid a sweep and earn a trip back to the Boston Garden, where local fans are already making room in the rafters for what will be an unprecedented 18th N.B.A. championship flag.

Jaylen Brown scored 21 points, Tatum had 18 and Derrick White also scored 18 points for top-seeded Boston on Sunday.

Irving, meanwhile, could only muster sixteen points as his nemesis Portnoy watched from one of the best seats in the house.
