Barstool Sports President Dave Portnoy slammed Simone Biles for wearing a jacket featuring Green Bay Packers graphics to a Chicago Bears practice game.
The custom-made jacket Biles wore featured images of her husband, Jonathan Owens, who played in Green Bay last season.
In an episode of his ‘BFFs’ podcast, Portnoy criticized Biles for her sports and fashion missteps.
“If I was a Bears fan, I’d be outraged about this… Bears-Packers is the Hatfields and McCoys of the NFL, Red Sox-Yankees,” Portnoy explained to co-host Bri Chickenfry.
“So you go to a Bears game wearing your arch rival’s jacket, and that’s not exactly the best thing.”

Portnoy said Biles should not have worn a jacket with Green Bay Packers logos on it to a Bears game. She wore a custom-made jacket with her husband, a former Green Bay player, on it.
As she walked the sidelines, Biles also wore a protective boot on her left foot due to a calf injury she sustained during the Olympics. She finished the look with a pair of reflective silver sunglasses, a black Prada bucket hat and a Balenciaga bag.
Despite her attempts to make a touching and encouraging gesture toward Owens, Biles found herself in the middle of one of the league’s fiercest rivalries thanks to that jacket, and fans were less than impressed.
“Simone Biles should be stripped of all her medals after wearing Packers gear while cheering on the Bears,” one social media user posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Yeah, yeah, I get it. Her husband played for the Packers and it’s an Owens themed jacket, but this is just wrong.”
Others agreed with him, questioning Biles’ seemingly ignorant football knowledge.
“With all due respect, Simone Biles needs to throw that jacket in the trash ASAP,” another claimed. “How did she get in with that?”
“She clearly supports her husband Jonathan Owens and she’s one of the best Olympians so she gets a free pass… but it’s still one of the oldest rivalries in all of soccer and she’s wearing the #GoPackGo logos lol,” Chase Daniel of The Athletic posted.
“Let her husband go now!” one particularly irate Bears fan chimed in, while another added: “She is ridiculously oblivious to your surroundings and insulting to her husband.”

But she brushed aside all criticism and after the match she went out for dinner with a group of friends at Maple & Ash restaurant, where she looked stunning.
Biles was greeted at the restaurant with a special menu listing the dishes for sale, but also bearing the words “OLYMPIC F*@KING CHAMPION!”
Biles and her guests also raised their glasses for a candlelight toast.
Owens played one season in Green Bay last year before transferring to Chicago earlier this year.
